The foundersof MIR Geo Energy.
All of us graduated Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, with extensive experience in well design and supervision of drilling operations, we have been part of international teams that have successfully implemented energy projects in various countries such as Romania, France, Switzerland, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Our passion and dedication to work have been the driving forces behind our success in the oil and gas industry. However, we also realised the importance of clean and sustainable energy for the future, which was the reason of founding Mir Geo Energy, a company dedicated to exploring and exploiting the potential of geothermal energy. With extensive expertise in shallow and deep well drilling in both hydrocarbon and geothermal fields, we possess the capabilities to ensure the success of this project. We hold a strong conviction that geothermal energy represents the future and serves as a sustainable, CO2-free substitute for conventional fossil fuels. In conclusion, we, the founding team of Mir Geo Energy, comprise a proficient, enthusiastic, and devoted group possessing extensive experience, now devoted to uncovering and fostering the vast potential of geothermal energy.

Geothermal energy is considered a key part of the future for several reasons:
Sustainability and regeneration:
Geothermal energy is a renewable source derived from the Earth's internal heat. In contrast to fossil fuels, it is not subject to depletion over time, making it a long-term sustainable option for energy production.
Low environmental impact:
Geothermal power plants generally have a much smaller environmental footprint than fossil fuel power plants. They release negligible quantities of greenhouse gases, thereby contributing to the global effort to combat climate change.
Reliability
Unlike solar and wind energy, geothermal power remains unaffected by weather patterns, ensuring a sustainable and remarkably dependable energy source. It is capable of providing baseload power, operating continuously without interruption.
Efficiency
Geothermal power plants are very efficient and have the potential to generate significant amounts of energy from a relatively small footprint.
Economic benefits
Geothermal energy brings economic benefits by boosting employment in the construction and operation of power plants, as well as reducing a country's need to import fossil fuels.
Technological advances
With advances in technology, it is becoming possible to exploit geothermal resources in more locations and more efficiently than ever before. Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) are a promising development in this fields.
Scalability
Geothermal energy can be exploited on different scales, from large power plants to heat pumps for individual houses.
Global potential
Geothermal energy can be harnessed in all parts of the world as the energy source of the future.
Air-Water Heat pump
The air/water heat pump brings heat from the ambient air into the room. Specifically, a fan actively draws in ambient air and transfers it to an air heat exchanger (evaporator) built into the heat pump. Inside this is a circulating refrigerant, which changes its physical state at low temperatures and evaporates. To raise these refrigerant vapours to a level that can be used for heating and domestic hot water heating, they are compressed using a compressor.
Advantage:
- easy integration with existing fuel-based heating systems;
- supply including domestic hot water;
- does not require an external collector or boreholes;
- heat from the outside air;
- reduced investment;
- easy fitting;
- does not require authorization;
- suitable even for buildings with limited space;
- reduced heating time;
- minimum maintenance;
Disadvantages:
- the house needs to be well isolated to avoid losing heat through the walls and roof;
- lower performance compared to soil-water or water-water heat pump;
- electricity is needed for power (if there is no access to solar or wind power);
- noise like an air conditioner when running;
Soil–Water Heat pump
Similar to other heat pumps, the soil-water heat pump operates on a basic principle: it first extracts heat energy from the ground, transferring it to the refrigerant. The refrigerant then evaporates and undergoes compression via a compressor, elevating both pressure and temperature. The generated heat is then absorbed by a heat exchanger (condenser) and transferred into the heating system.
Advantage:
- use of geothermal energy;
- a stable temperature in the circuit is maintained by the excavations made in the Earth's crust. Underground is maintaned a consistent temperature of 12 degrees Celsius throughout the year, regardless of the season;
- compatibility with any heating system, floor, wall, radiators;
- very low maintenance costs;
- no environment impact;
- offers even cooling in the hot season;
- do not require servicing like conventional gas thermal unit;
- safety;
Disadvantages:
- high cost in the investment phase;
- requires authorisation for legal entities.
Water-Water Heat pump
The water-to-water heat pump is one of the most efficient heating systems. The pivotal element ensuring optimal efficiency is the reservoir energy, particularly the groundwater utilized by the device.
Advantage:
- high performance and efficiency;
- the depreciation period of the investment is less than 5 years (in the case of a family house);
- does not require deep boreholes or large trenches (deep digging);
- low energy consumption (only a small amount of electricity is needed, the rest of the energy comes from the natural heat present in the water source);
- uses non-polluting renewable energy sources;
- compatibility with various heating systems (gas boiler, solar heating system);
- offers cooling and especially passive cooling (no need for air conditioning);
- silent, long life;
Disadvantages:
- requires a water source as close as possible to surface plant;
- require interventions from time to time (drilling down, submersible pump changes)
- here are situations when the injector well does not receive the full amount of injected water;
- requires approval for the execution of the work in the case of legal entities.
